Not really.
Most tradition actually reflects values and belief of what contributes to a well ordered society. Values can change and people can want different things from generation to generations but tradition isn’t really some throw away thing.
Fredrick Hyek wrote about the fence in the pasture problem. Someone was walking in a pasture and can across a fence. They were upset because it was in their way and served no obvious purpose for them. So they knocked it down. Of course the fence was there to mark the boundaries of a land owners property, to keep sheep and cattle from wandering off, and to offer protection to those with in it.
